Manuel López is an international pianist, cellist and composer, he has a wide repertoire for both solo and chamber music. He began his studies at the age of 4 in Madrid, at the elementary conservatory of Pozuelo de Alarcón with professor Gena Simó and in 1995 he was the youngest student in the entire history of the Madrid Superior Music Conservatory to access the higher career. At just 15 years old, studying with Professor Guillermo González, he also received an end-of-course award and an honorable mention in 1998, the Carlet City International Piano Award (Valencia, 1997); city of Albacete prize, first prize Boadilla del monte and various other prizes in national and international competitions.
He complete his studies with a master degree In piano solo recital on Rotterdam conservatory with C.Arrau latest pupil Mr Aquiles de la Vigne on 1999 descendent of piano Franz Liszt interpretative piano tradition
Since this moment his musician life stoped die the effects of focal hand Distonia
From that moment, it is another story in Manuel’s life, away from music, always sad, missing the piano more than ever and surviving in a thousand ways and a thousand lives with other jobs outside of music.
In 2016 after many years he decide to back to play last time in his life with both hands
In attempt to show it’s possible so it and play “ free “ he did his best in his last concert for her grandmother who die after that concert
It was his last attemp, was diagnosed by neurologist in Madrid with focal hand Distonia after many years of unknown what’s really happens with his hands
Critics and national and international media endorse him with numerous recitals both nationally and internationally.
In 2018 he suffered a stroke as a result of a thalamotomy to cure Focal Dystonia in the right hand, a devastating disease that affects more than 2% of musicians in the world, unable to prevents and performance normal movements, dystonia has been diagnosed since 1997, more than 20 years suffering this condition impossible to play any concert with both hands and compete in same equal conditions, from this moment and after a long depression I decide to dedicate all my efforts to show the people that it is possible to play the piano with only his left hand. Since then, my goal is to show the happiness and of living with the power of love of the music

In my own words «my concerts are about overcoming, where I want to show people that both in music and in life there are no limits, you should never give up in the face of any adversity, if you love something do it regardless of your physical condition, I want you to this message reaches the whole world
Since then I been done nothing but act taking his music to all possible corners of Spain with only his left hand
My repertoire for the left hand cover all eras and periods of classical music, with works by Bach, Liszt, Chopin, Scriabin, Rachmaninov, Albeniz, Brahms etc …
For 2022 he has scheduled a series of monographic recitals of Spanish music. With works for the left hand only From I.Albeniz, E. Granados, J. Turina, M.Falla
